Simple Sublimation
Have you heard of our Simple Sublimation offering? If so, you'll be excited to hear that it has been improved for 2020 by using recycled FlexLight fabric! And if you hadn't yet, read below to find out more!
Simple Sublimation 2.0
Screenprinted jerseys are well-known and loved. We are quite fond of our FlexLight products, and are proud to offer them with either screenprinting or spot sublimation. However, the majority of our customers are attracted by the limitless possibilities of sublimation, which means fewer orders for non-sublimated apparel are placed every year.
Why is that an issue? The cost of our FlexLight material is higher than what most of our competitors pay for their completely sewn jerseys. To stock 50-100m in each of our 18 original FlexLight colours became cost-prohibitive over the last few years as teams moved towards sublimation, causing classic fabric colours such as gold, forest, purple or powder blue to be ordered on average only 3 times per season.
Consequently, we reduced the number of colours ordered, and began offering the best in-stock performance jerseys we could source from our suppliers under our Pivot line.

Simple Sublimation... screenprinting reinvented
One of the highest costs within our sublimation process is artwork time. We wondered – if we can simplify artwork on sublimated jerseys, could we lower the price accordingly? The answer was yes, and we were able to create a more affordable sublimated jersey, featuring simpler art requirements.
The background can be any colour or shade you like, and your logo/numbers can be specific colours, too. In essence, your jersey needs to appear to be replicating a screenprinted jersey in terms of design.
For example, a front logo will be the same size on all units, and contain a maximum of 4 colours. Player numbers can also feature a pattern, outline or be multicoloured – as long as the "4-colours maximum" rule is respected.
This said, gradients aren't possible, and the artwork can't go across seams like it can on our fully sublimated gear.
Let's talk about Shorts
Simple sublimation is absolutely the best design option for shorts. The result will be classy in appearance: with a full-colour logo and a sublimated number... which also means your number won't be peeling off in a few years after hundreds of wash cycles!
More importantly, Simple Sublimation removes any risk of your apparel shrinking during the screenprinting process. Both our beloved Micro and Shorty Shorts are made from Microfibre material, which is notorious for shrinkage and colour bleed. Therefore, we now only offer customized Micro and Shorty shorts as a Sublimated option.
