Tank vs Sleeveless
Tank or sleeveless? Here’s a quick guide to help you choose the right style.
Looking for a sleeveless option for your team? VC offers two styles — the Tank and the Classic Sleeveless — each designed for comfort, mobility, and high performance. Here’s a quick guide to help you choose the right fit and style for your team.
If you don't already know our jerseys, check out our previous article about the differences between the Classic and Raglan jerseys.
Tank
The original VC tank is a true tank top built for high performance and ultimate mobility. Designed with narrow shoulder straps and a slight racerback, it's made to move with you.

TANK | FEATURES
- Two side seams with a slight taper at the waist
- Curved front and back hem, with a back tail that's 2” longer
TANK | AVAILABLE FITS AND SIZING
Available in both Fitted and Standard fits, the tank has a similar fit to our Raglan Jersey but runs one size smaller around the chest and hips width. The racerback design opens up the shoulders for high movement and breathability.
Classic Sleeveless
You asked, we delivered. After seeing photos of players literally cutting the sleeves off their jerseys, we created the Classic Sleeveless - a fresh take on our Classic Jersey, now in a no-sleeves version with full shoulder coverage.

CLASSIC SLEEVELESS | FEATURES
- One side seam (perfect for wrap around designs)
- Full shoulder coverage
CLASSIC SLEEVELESS | FITS AND SIZING
Available in Fitted and Relaxed fits, and in both shorter and longer body lengths. The fit matches our Classic Jersey - loose through the body with a straight side seam.
WHICH SHOULD I CHOOSE?
If you (or your team) are just looking to order a tank style shirt, then you should consider which fit you prefer. For many players, the biggest factor is how much shoulder coverage they want.
- Racerback with open shoulders = Tank
- Full shoulder coverage = Sleeveless
The tank is also a more form fitting style overall, compared to the loose fit of the sleeveless.
If you already have a jersey design and want to add a tank or sleeveless stye, choose the style that matches your jersey type. This will keep the fit and design is as close as possible to your jerseys.
- Raglan Jersey = Tank
- Classic Jersey = Sleeveless
BUT WHAT IF I WANT BOTH?
This can be challenging from both a design and sizing perspective, but we’re here to help! If you want to order both styles for your team, keep these considerations in mind:
- Design adjustments: Artwork around the shoulders and side seams may need tweaks to translate across both styles.
- Sizing differences: A Standard Medium Tank and Relaxed Medium Sleeveless fit very differently - be sure to check our size charts before ordering.
Still not sure which one's right for you? Reach out to our team - we'll help you find the perfect fit and style.
