The Future Is Female: Manuela Cardenas
If you don't know about her already, here's a good place to start!
Last weekend saw the Medellin Revolution fly to Austin, Texas, for the first professional women's game played at the international level. Although the score may not have been what the Torch wanted, this event did make one thing clear: there is absolutely a market for professional women's ultimate.
1,235 people inundated the stands at House Park—the highest attendance number since the Austin Sol's season opener in 2016. We were able to get an interview with Manuela Cardenas, regarded as one of the best women's ultimate players in the world, about the importance of this game to women's ultimate.
VC is proud and excited to support both of these talented teams. Follow the Austin Torch and Medellin Revolution to keep up with everything they are doing!
