Courage MKE provides resources, support, housing, advocacy and other programs for Wisconsin's LGBTQ youth. Significantly higher rates of LGBTQ+ youth face issues with their mental health, bullying, discrimination in school and healthcare settings, and homelessness than their non-LGBTQ+ peers. Recently Courage MKE opened their second housing program location dedicated to aged out or homeless LGBTQ young adults aged 18-24. Additionally they've been operating Wisconsin's only group home dedicated to trauma informed care for LGBTQ youth in the state of Wisconsin for the last five years. Courage is not just a nonprofit that provides services, but a movement to help ensure people understand the importance of providing quality, affirming care to the next Queer generation
