Women's Development Sponsorship is for Everyone

We're serious about wanting to outfit more teams that put purposeful thought and action towards equity, so we are opening up our Women's Development Sponsorship to all teams around the world.

The Women's Development Sponsorship is now called The Equity & Development Sponsorship.

We established the Women's Development Sponsorship in efforts to minimize barriers of entry to the sport for female players and teams, to provide recognition for the strength of female athletes, and to encourage visibility in the gender challenges female athletes face. 

Initially, this no-obligation sponsorship was only available to women's college, youth, and club team; however, as we reevaluate the best ways to promote gender equity, we've decided that there is a more effective approach.

To better achieve the goals we put forward when designing the Women's Development Sponsorship, we are opening up the sponsorship to any team, regardless of gender, who are active allies for gender equity.

As we mentioned at the gender equity discussion hosted by VC and The Ultimate Experience, gender equity is good for everyone. Every member of the ultimate community can benefit from gender equity actions and we are looking for ways to fix the gender imbalance in our sport. 

We encourage teams that are serious about instigating change to apply for this sponsorship. Tell us what you have in mind: it could be as simple as having a conversation about equity with your teammates to simply understand more (we even have resources for you!), or perhaps it means reaching out to women's teams in your area to see how you can support their efforts or to collaborate.
