Happy Earth Day, friends! 

At VC, we're doing our best to incorporate an environmental perspective in everything we do: from reducing our internal use of disposable materials to investigating biodegradable and/or recycled material packaging, there is so much we can do to be a better friend to the earth.

100% Post-consumer Recycled Materials

In 2019, we announced that all of our Canadian-made sublimated jerseys would be made from 100% post-consumer recycled fabric, and we've kept going since. After a few months and several different trials, we're proud to have successfully created a recycled version of our made-in-Europe FlexLight fabric for the VC Blue Label line. We're excited that all of our sublimated FlexLight apparel is now made from the greenest material possible!

VC Green Team

In order to ensure we're consistently thinking of ways to be more environmentally friendly, we've designated a Green Team in our office to brainstorm and implement ideas on a quarterly basis.

Our first idea is currently being tested: instead of the usual plastic bags or cardboard boxes, we're using fabric sacks – traditionally used in the dry-cleaning industry – to move orders through the different stages of production. 

It's a small step, and it made us proud to have a team member speak up about the problem of throwing out too many bags too often, suggesting an idea and implementing a potential solution within weeks.
