For this Team Canada cycle, Dodgeball Canada has chosen to go with the Classic Jersey rather than the Raglan Jersey from previous cycles.

Why?

Simply put: the Classic Jersey sizing is more intuitive because its measurements align more closely with familiar apparel standards, making it easier for athletes across a wide range of body types to find their best fit.

At VC, we know that every athlete has different fit preferences, and choosing a uniform should feel simple and comfortable. The Classic Jersey helps make that sizing process more straightforward while ensuring athletes can select the fit that feels best for how they want to play and compete.

Understanding the Difference: Classic vs Raglan

If you’ve ordered VC uniforms from the National Program before, you may already be familiar with our Raglan Jersey.

Classic vs Raglan Guide

While both jerseys are built using the same high-performance technical fabrics and are designed for competition, the sizing and fit profile are a little different.

Classic Jersey

The Classic Jersey tends to fit more similarly to everyday apparel and follows more familiar sizing standards.

• Fitted Fit → Most similar to a standard women’s athletic t-shirt

• Relaxed Fit → Most similar to a standard men’s t-shirt with additional room through the chest and body

Because these measurements are generally closer to what most athletes are used to wearing, many people find sizing the Classic Jersey more intuitive.

Raglan Jersey

The Raglan Jersey has a slightly different athletic cut and fits differently through several key areas, including:

• Shoulders

• Chest

• Sleeve construction

• Overall body shape

Because of this, your Raglan size may not translate exactly to the same size in the Classic Jersey.
